Inspired by the real-life story of Gangubai Kothewali (from the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai by S. Hussain Zaidi), the film follows a young girl from Kathiawad who is sold into a brothel. She fearlessly reclaims her power, eventually becoming a powerful madam and influential political figure in Mumbai's red-light district, Kamathipura.
