Unlike action-horror games, Visage relies on sanity management. Light sources (lighters, candles, cameras) drain quickly. The darker the environment, the faster your sanity depletes, causing hallucinations, ghostly apparitions, and eventual death. The game is non-linear; players explore the house, finding keys, photographs, and mirrors that unlock three main chapters (Rakan, Dolores, and Lucy) plus additional side content.
