Despite the intense efforts to keep The G.A.T. hidden, the album has still reached a wide audience thanks to the actions of a few individuals. The most prominent story is of someone who actually paid the $3,000 for the vinyl, scanned the artwork, ripped the audio, and shared the files with the world for free. It is almost exclusively due to this anonymous "heroic uploader" that the album can be heard at all outside of a select few private collections.
