Leftover files from a previous, improper, or interrupted Kaspersky uninstallation.

Corrupted Windows system files can prevent driver registration. Use built-in Windows deployment tools to repair them.

Editing the Registry can be risky. It's recommended to back up the registry before making any changes.

If a previous version of Kaspersky or a different antivirus solution was uninstalled incorrectly, "ghost" drivers or registry keys may still exist. Windows prevents the installation of a new driver if a conflicting filter driver is still registered in the stack.
