In September 2023, the Dominican Missions announced the phased closure of the school, citing a declining city-wide school-age population and evolving financial challenges. Despite impassioned public petitions from parents, faculty, and students, the timeline was accelerated. The school's history was one of constant growth and evolution. Initially operating out of the St. Albert the Great Priory, a new, purpose-built rectangular structure was completed in 1963, designed with separate sections for boys and girls joined by a central auditorium and chapel. Over the years, the school expanded to include a Business Studies section, and in 2007, the kindergarten became a separate entity.
