Maître Gims is the former stage name of Gandhi Alimasi Djuna, a French-Congolese singer, rapper, producer, and songwriter. Born on May 6, 1986, in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, music is in his blood. He is the son of Djanana Djuna, a longtime singer for the "rumba rock" king Papa Wemba.
