The film begins in the 1960s, where genius student Habibie (Reza Rahadian) is in Germany. He returns to Indonesia to reunite with his childhood friend, Ainun (Bunga Citra Lestari). They marry within days, and the story follows their sacrifices: Ainun leaves her medical career to support Habibie’s aircraft dreams, while Habibie struggles to build the nation’s aviation industry.
