Unlike the original movie, Wrong Turn 2 introduces a meta-narrative. The plot follows a group of diverse contestants participating in a post-apocalyptic reality TV show called "Apocalypse: Ultimate Survivalist" in the West Virginia wilderness. The contestants, led by a ruthless producer, believe they are merely competing for a prize, unaware that they have entered the hunting ground of a family of deformed, inbred cannibals.
